CERT-In Directions 2022 Compliance Checklist
Ministry of Electronics and IT / CERT-In directions under Section 70B(6) of the IT Act. Mandatory for all entities operating in India.
Who must comply: These Directions apply to ALL entities operating in India — companies, government bodies, individuals, intermediaries, data centres, cloud service providers, and virtual private server providers. There is no size or sector exemption.
The Directions came into force on 28 June 2022. Non-compliance can result in imprisonment up to one year and/or fine under Section 70B(7) of the IT Act 2000.
